2012 – New Horizons is a photographic investigation project by Bruno van den Elshout (NL). Between 1 January 2012 and 1 January 2013, Van den Elshout captured 366 × 24 hourly portraits of the North Sea horizon from the rooftop of the NH Atlantic Hotel in The Hague.
This small publication celebrates the first physical exhibition of photographs from 2012 – New Horizons at Broft/vanderHorst Galleries in The Hague. It contains all horizons taken on the 5th of May 2012. This book also serves as a prelude to the final publication.
Bruno van den Elshout works as an artist and shapes idiosyncratic art and research projects that invite essential encounters of/with/between people, ideas and worlds, with the intention of exploring and practising constructive and sustainable ways of living and working together.
